PURPOSE:To display simultaneously the control data belonging to different types of plural pictures on one picture and to facilitate the preparation of the robot control data by storing the control data corresponding to respective frame memories and displaying simultaneously them at a main display area and a sub-display area of a display device. CONSTITUTION:A manual data input (MDI)15 is used, and the robot control data are edited while the display of a CRT9 is watched. At such a time, in accordance with the operation of an MDI15, the contents of the area to show the main display part stored in respective frame memories of a frame memory 11 and the contents of the area to show the sub-display part of a frame memory 12 are simultaneously displayed at the main display area and the sub-display area divided simultaneously by the CRT9. By dividing and displaying simultaneously the control data belonging to plural picture of different types onto one picture, the complicated robot control data are easily prepared without fail.
