PURPOSE:To prevent the transmission of vibration from a shaft to a fan and prevent the generation of noise by installing an elastic body in an integrated form with a boss which combines said shaft of a motor with said fan, and enabling said elastic body to securely absorb an electromagnetic vibration which is generated by said motor. CONSTITUTION:A blower 13 consists of a fan 27 in which a number of blades 26 are caulked by a main plate 24 and a ring-like side plate 25 which are spread over them, and a boss 29 which combines this fan 27 with the shaft 28 of a motor 14. And, this boss 29 consists of an inside annular body 31 made of carbon steel into which the shaft 28 is fitted in and which is bonded to the shaft 28 with a screw 30, an outside annular body 32 to which the main plate 24 of the fan 27 is bonded, and a neoprene rubber elastic body 33 which is embedded in between both the annular bodies 31, 32. Thus, since the fan 27 is combined with the shaft 28 via the elastic body3 3 of the boss 29, electromagnetic vibration generated by the motor 14 is not transmitted from the shaft 28 to the fan 27, accordingly, preventing the generation of noise.
