For semipermanently locking a slider in a closed position on interlockable rows of fastener elements, a stop is fixedly mounted on the interlocked fastener elements in close contact with the rear end of the slider in the closed position. Typically, the stop is formed by a staple similar to the conventional bottom stop of a blind fastener.
