This device comprises: - an endless conveyor belt 2 mounted on at least two horizontal-axis rollers 4, 5, one 4 of which is rotationally driven and the other 5 of which is mounted so as to rotate freely, the portion of this conveyor belt located between the two rollers constituting a platform for adhesively coating (pasting) a pad; - means for depositing a layer of adhesive 23 onto the external face of the conveyor belt 2; - and means for adjusting the thickness of the layer of adhesive 23 deposited onto the conveyor belt 2. According to a preferred embodiment, the aforementioned means are formed by a roller 21 rotating in the direction opposite that of the roller 4 of the conveyor belt 2 and partially immersed in a container 3 filled with adhesive 23. <IMAGE>
