The switch includes two like field-effect transistors T1, T2 having their drain electrodes D1, D2 connected respectively to the terminals of the switch, their source electrodes S1, S2 connected to one another and their gate electrodes G1, G2 common-connected to a control input so that no voltage threshold appears in the passing state. Owing to its low level of loss, this switch finds an attractive application in power converters such as reversible inverter-rectifiers and, more generally, cycloconverters whose efficiency it increases. The absence of conduction threshold renders the switch equally well suited to a voltage measuring device. <IMAGE>
