Device for adjusting the horizontal level of frames and wall paintings. The invention relates to a device making it possible to assess and set a horizontal level for frames and wall paintings in a single operation without having to step back repeatedly. It consists of a casing having a luminous indicator which lights up automatically when the level is not horizontal. Inside the casing, a cylinder 11 secured by clips of the casing comprises electric conductors 14 on which moves a metal ball 12 which establishes contact between the two conductors except in its centre 21-22 which is an insulator and which acts as a switch and turns off the indicator. Venting orifices 4-16 allow free circulation of the air so that the ball 12 moves freely. The device according to the invention is intended in particular to adjust the horizontal level of frames and wall paintings.
