PURPOSE:To execute the highly speedy access and to increase the processing capacity of a computer system by building a substituting data memory part, etc., to execute the substituting processing of the faulty part of a magnetic disk in a fixing magnetic memory device. CONSTITUTION:From a position signal register 4, a selecting position information signal 5 to match a read/write head signal 1, a track position instructing signal 3 and a sector position signal 25 is outputted. A signal comparing part 8 successively compares and collates all faulty part position information signals 6 to exist at the signal 5 and a faulty part position information memory part 7 of a faulty position information register 9, and outputs the comparing result to a data signal selecting part 13. The selecting part 13, when the signal 5 is coincident to the signal 6, selects a substituting data memory part 26. Thus, since the processing of the faulty part of a magnetic disk 22 is executed by the substituting data memory part 26, the highly speedy access can be executed and the processing capacity of the computer system can be increased.
