PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording method enabling short-time printing and using hot melt type ink unnecessary for the discharge of ink each time, by mounting a heating mechanism to hold hot melt type ink to min. temp. holding a liquid state at the stand-by time of a head and holding optimum printing temp. at the time of printing. CONSTITUTION:Voltage V1 is inputted to a heating means a71 from a signal terminal a91 and a head 60 is heated to temp. T2 and ink 80 comes to a highly viscous molten state. Herein, when a power source switch is closed at a time t1 and a printing order signal is issued from a host computer, voltage V2 higher that V1 is applied to the heating means a71 and the ink 80 is rapidly heated to temp. T3 to allow printing from a time t2. Temp. is detected by a temp. sensor 73 if necessary and the temp. of the ink 80 is controlled to T3. When no printing order is inputted for a definite time from a time t3, the voltage applied to the heating means a71 is returned to V1 at a time t4 and the ink 80 is again held to the temp. T2, that is, min. temp. holding a liquid state to wait the next printing order. |
