PURPOSE:To give a shading-off effect to an overlapping peripheral part in order to remove a sense of incongruity in the overlapping peripheral part of a picture by providing a calculating means for calculating the picture element data corresponding to a position of remarkable picture element data. CONSTITUTION:A bit map memory 4 outputs the contents of the address given by an X address counter 2 and a Y address counter 3. For instance, when the counter 2 goes to (m), and the counter 3 goes to (n), a line side is constituted so as to read contents of the picture element of n-3rd, n-2nd, n-1st, nth, n+1st, n+2nd, n+3rd, m-3rd, m-2nd, m-1st, mth, m+1st, m+2nd, m+3rd, namely the three picture elements centering the addresses (m), (n) in a characteristic detector 5. In such a constitution, in the periphery of the certain picture information in the memory 4, the shading off picture information is outputted through a detector 5 and a mask data converter 6. |
