PURPOSE:To provide a resin compsn. having a deodorizing function, by incorporating fine particles of ferrous sulfate having a low water content. CONSTITUTION:A deodorizing thermoplastic resin compsn. is obtd. by incorporating 0.5-90wt% fine powder (having a particle size of pref. 30mu or below) of ferrous sulfate having a water content (the combined amount of water of crystallization and free water) of 20wt% or below in a thermoplastic resin. It is known that ferrous sulfate is reacted with ammonia and the reaction product is reacted with hydrogen sulfide. Hence, an excellent deodorizing function can be imparted by incorporating ferrous sulfate. For example, a master batch having a ferrous sulfate content of 20wt% is prepd. and mixed with PE. The mixture is blow- molded into a trash bag. When refuse is placed in the bag, its refuse is scarcely emitted and environment in a kitchen can be improved. |
