PURPOSE:To easily keep a bubble from passing, and to prevent deterioration in a transfer characteristic by arranging a conductor gap along the inside of the outer periphery of a bubble transfer pattern where the bubble passes. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is the one in which the gap 12 of a hairpin conductor pattern 11 is arranged along the inside of the outer periphery of a bubble transfer pattern 10 where the bubble is passed and also facing in the traveling direction of the bubble. In a case that a gate operation is performed by conducting a pulse current to the hairpin conductor pattern 11, when no bite of the conductor gap 12 to the transfer pattern 10 is formed or, when it is shallow, the minimum pulse current to perform the gate operation rises. However, the deterioration in the bubble transfer characteristic can be prevented because the conductor gap 12 is arranged at the inside of the outer periphery of the bubble transfer pattern 10, and the gate operation can be obtained with a small pulse current.
