<p>PURPOSE:To electrolyze copper economically by carrying out electrolysis with an electrolytic soln. at a specified relatively low temp. so as to reduce the loss of silver by transfer to electrolytic copper. CONSTITUTION:When copper is electrolyzed, electrolysis is carried out with an electrolytic soln. at such a relatively low temp. as 53-58 deg.C so as to inhibit the transfer of silver in the electrolytic soln. to electrolytic copper. A profit brought by the reduced loss of silver exceeds a loss caused by the increase of electric power for electrolysis required by the lowered temp. of the electrolytic soln., so copper can be economically electrolyzed.</p> |
