PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin having a sharp particle distribution and excellent heat stability, processability and gelling property while decreasing scale deposition on the wall of a polymerizer, by suspension-(co)polymerizing vinyl chloride, etc., in the presence of an electrolyte and a specified vinyl chloride polymer latex. CONSTITUTION:Vinyl chloride and, optionally, a monomer coplymerizable therewith together with water, a water-soluble or oil-soluble initiator and 2.0PHM or below emulsifier (e.g., anionic emulsifier) and, optionally, a pH adjusting agent are placed in a reaction vessel. After purging with an inert gas, the mixture is polymerized to a conversion of 80%. 60-mesh or larger coarse particles are removed from the obtained vinyl chloride polymer latex. Vinyl chloride and, optionally, the above menomer together with water, a suspending agent (e.g., PVA), an oil-soluble polymerization initiator (e.g., benzoyl peroxide) and an electrolyte such as water-soluble salts of Group I-III elements of the periodic table for coagulating the latex to be added later are placed in the reaction vessel, and the reaction mixture is suspension(co)polymeized while said latex is continuously or intermittently added to the reaction system.
