PURPOSE:To easily obtain a data copy between a 5 inch floppy and an 8 inch floppy by constituting a device so that either the 5 inch floppy or the 8 inch floppy can access and performs a data read in one device. CONSTITUTION:When a data is read from the 8 inch floppy, a relay driving latch circuit 33 is controlled with a CPU22, and a relay circuit 32 is energized, and its normally-opened contact point is closed and a normally-closed contact point is opened. At such a state, an 8 inch clock from a clock oscillator 30 is inputted to a floppy controller 21, and a window signal and an 8 inch read data are also inputted to the floppy controller 21, and the floppy controller 21 reads the data from the 8 inch floppy and the data is stored at a RAM24 by the CPU22. Meanwhile, when the data is read from the 5 inch floppy, the control of the relay driving latch circuit 33 by the CPU22 is not performed, and the relay circuit 32 is in a state that the normally-opened contact point is released and the normally-closed contact point is opened.
