PURPOSE:To produce a double layer plated steel sheet having high performances including excellent plating adhesiveness and corrosion resistance after painting by forming double electroplating layers consisting of a specifically composed Fe-Cr-P alloy and alloy of Fe, Ni, etc., and Zn on the steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:The electroplating layer of the Fe-Cr-P alloy consisting of >=0.1% Cr, >=0.1% P, and <=20% Cr+P and the balance Fe is formed to >=0.1g/m<2> on at least one face of the steel sheet. The electroplating layer of the Zn alloy having the compsn. consisting of 5-90wt% >=1 kinds among Fe, Ni, Co, Cr, Mn, Ti, Sn, Cu, Cd, Pd and the balance Zn is formed in >=1 layers to >=5g/m<2> on the above-mentioned electroplating layer. The double layer electroplated steel sheet which has the excellent plating adhesiveness and the corrosion resistance after painting and is applicable as the steel sheet for automobiles, etc., is thus obtd.
