PURPOSE:To record a desired source without being affected by a start time of the titled device by recording a signal while retarding it. CONSTITUTION:A RAM is used as a delay element 10 of a digital recording device such as a DAT. In the DAT, an analog input signal is inputted normally via an A/D converter 14 (a digital signal is inputted as it is) and recorded onto a recording element 12 via a signal processing circuit 16, then the device is realized by having only to add the RAM being the delay element 10 and a memory control 14. Thus, a desired source is recorded without being affected by a start time of the device. Further, it is possible to record a signal without intermission of speech head even after the desired source is driven by setting the delay time.
