PURPOSE:To take out optical fiber from a part except an end part of a protection tube by forming continuous and other discontinuous slits in the protection tube or continuous or discontinuous cut in the internal or external surface of the protection tube. CONSTITUTION:A slit 3 is provided in the protection tube lengthwise continuously to form an opening part. The cut 4 is provided inside the protection tube 1. The protection tube 1 is formed of plastic. Consequently, the slit 3 is opened manually along the cut 4 and an internal tape optical fiber 2 is taken out.
