PURPOSE:To stabilize copying operation condition and to prevent careless copying operation from being performed by providing a pressure detecting element which presses a copying machine body and starting the copying operation only when pushing pressure higher than a specific value is applied to a surface to be exposed. CONSTITUTION:A light-transmissive buffer member 62 is provided over the nearly entire bottom surface of a platen plate 61 as the exposure surface of a copying machine which is placed on and pressed against an original to take a copy. When a top plate 10 is applied with pressure from above the copying machine, the force is transmitted to the platen plate 61 through side plates 11 and 12 and further to the platen plate 61 through side plates 11 and 12 and further transmitted to the surface to be exposed through the buffer member 62. When the pressure is increased, the buffer member 62 deforms conforming with the corner shape composed of the platen plate 61 and side plate 12 and a piezoelectric element 13 fixed to the corner part deforms to generate a voltage corresponding to the quantity of the deformation. When the pressure is increased enough to take a copy, the copying operation is started by the voltage generated by the piezoelectric element 13. |
