<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate treatments required when the unit has encountered a failure by furnishing a transport path, whereon a plurality of sheets are transported simultaneously, and by emitting an emergency stop signal to stop operation of each unit immediately. CONSTITUTION:Each sheet fed from a large-quantity sheet feeding unit 2 or a cassette type sheet feeder part 7 undergoes transcription and fixation at a printer unit 4 and exhausted for an inverter unit 5. The sheets inverted by this inverter unit 5 are put in order about the pages and exhausted for a sorter unit 6. If any failure, for ex. a jam, is generated in these units, a system control ler unit 1 emits an emergency stop signal to stop operation of the units immedi ately. This prevents sheets from fed to the units situated downstream the one where the failure is generated, being which should assure easy treatment to be required thereafter.</p> |
