<p>PURPOSE:To provide a recording fluid which has an excellent drying rate and an excellent fixing rate, can form an image of good quality and is suitable for use in ink jet recording systems, by mixing a dye with a liquid medium so as to give a specified relationship between the surface tension and the viscosity of the resulting recording fluid. CONSTITUTION:About 0.5-30wt%, pref. 1-25wt% dye (A) (e.g., C.I. Food Black) is mixed with 2-70wt%, pref. 5-65wt% (based on the amount of the resulting recording fluid) liquid medium (B) composed of a solvent mixture of water (a) and optionally, a water-soluble org. solvent (b) (e.g., glycerol) to obtain a recording liq. having a surface tension of 63 dyne/cm or above at 25 deg.C and a viscosity of 2.5cP or below at 25 deg.C.</p> |
