<p>Waste acidic gases, containing fluorine, sulphur and/or chlorine oxides are passed through an aqueous absorption medium containing e.g. Ca(OH)2 which brings the final pH to 5-8, pref. 5.5-6.5. The resultant precipitates are separated by standard techniques e.g. decantation and the purified absorbent liquid recycled.</p> |
