PURPOSE:To speedily restore synchronization by providing a synchronizing signal generation means outputting a frame synchronizing signal when an initial one byte is converted into parallel data and outputted to a host computer, and a synchronization restoration means resetting a counter means when the frame synchronizing signal is outputted. CONSTITUTION:The titled controllers are provided with the synchronizing signal generation means outputting the frame synchronizing signal when the initial one byte of serial frame data is converted into parallel data and outputted to a host computer 12, and a synchronization restoration means 17 restoring synchronization even if the synchronization of the serial frame data is lost by resetting a counter means 16 when the frame synchronizing signal is outputted. If the frame synchronizing signal is outputted, the counter means for serial frame data is reset, and bytes included in the serial frame data are again counted. If the synchronizing signal is outputted before the bytes included in the serial frame data are completely counted, the reception of the serial frame data is abandoned as synchronization is lost, and synchronization is restored to receive the next serial frame data. Thus synchronization can be quickly restored.
