PURPOSE:To decrease the positional deviation between at optical element and optical fiber generated by a heat treatment in the stage of fixing the optical fiber by using plate-shaped members which are formed with thin metallic films atop the same and have a high heat insulating effect and metallic members which are imposed with the plate-shaped members and fix said members to form supporting parts. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber 4 is imposed on the 2nd supporting part 9 and the position where the degree of optical coupling to a laser light emitting element 1 is highest is determined; thereafter heat is applied to solder 6 to melt the solder, thereby fixing the fiber 4. The heat is mostly shielded by the plate-shaped member 11 for heat insulation and is, therefore, hardly transmitted to the metallic member 12, the 3rd supporting part 13 and the 1st supporting part 8. The thermal expansion of the 1st supporting part 8, the 3rd supporting part 9 and the metallic member 12 of the 2nd supporting part 9 is thus obviated. The positional relation between the laser light emitting element 1 and the fiber 4 imposed thereon is thus maintained without changing before and after the heat treatment.
