1281295 Mechanical switches SWF-SPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU GmbH 18 June 1970 [21 June 1969] 29566/70 Heading H1N A switch suitable for use in the lever handle 37 of a steering column switch (not shown), and especially suitable for switching windscreen wiper motors, has contacts 20, 21 and 23, 25 alternately changed in switching condition by successive actuations of a handle cap 13 axially displaceable over the lever handle against action of a spring 10 and is characterized by a switch member 12, with two different angular positions, rotatably mounted in the cap 13 between contact springs 16 and 17 lying close to the member 12 and axially aligned with the handle 37, the switch member 12 being alternately changed in position upon axial movement of the cap 13 by means of a projection 18 on one of the contact springs. The shaft of member 12 passes through slots 14 in support plates 15, the shown one of which carries the contact sets. Additional contacts 24, 28, which may be normally open as shown or normally closed and may control high speed operation of the wiper motors, are operable by a slide member 11 which is guided in an aperture 36 in cap 13 such that depression of the cap 13 restores member 11 to its unoperated position. |
