An arrangement for securing a foot board, grating, etc. as climbing aid for a roof on which it is not possible to walk and which is covered by metal roofing tiles comprises at least two metal profiles laid one beside the other in the longitudinal direction of the roofing tiles. One end of said profiles is fastened beneath the roofing tiles on the roof substructure and the other, bent end of the profiles is fastened on a snow-guard support which projects from the plane of the roof and is fastened likewise on the roof substructure.
