PURPOSE:To use a service company, which maintains and inspects a copying machine, as a center to perform centralized control of the state of the copying machine of a customer in a remote place by transmitting the self-diagnostic result from the copying machine to the center through a telephone line. CONSTITUTION:A copying machine 10 is connected to a center 20 through a telephone line 1, and the center 20 is installed in the service company to monitor plural copying machines. The copying machine 10 is provided with a handset 13 and a display part 12 where the operating state of the copying machine is displayed, and a control circuit 11 consists of a copy control part 11b which controls the whole of the copying machine and a transmission control part 11a which transmits data to the telephone line, and the transmission control part consists of a modulating circuit, a control circuit which outputs selecting signals such as a dial pulse and a tone signal, etc. The center 20 is provided with a handset and a display part 22 where the self-diagnostic result transmitted from the copying machine is displayed, and a transmission control part 21a of a control circuit 21 consists of an automatic terminating circuit, a demodulating circuit, etc., and a monitor control part 21b controls storage and display of the self-diagnostic result. |
