A color solid-state image sensing system includes a CCD (10) with a color filter (12). The CCD (10) is driven by a swingdriver section (14, 16) to periodically vibrate under a specific swing mode including various vibrations, thereby generating a plurality of color field images for one frame image in response to an incoming image light. The swingdriver section includes a vibration table (14) which causes the color CCD (10) to shift to different sampling positions at different time points in each of field periods of one frame period.
