PURPOSE:To correct the nonuniformity and asymmetricity of the light quantity distribution by an optical system by providing the storage capacitors which retain the output from a photoelectric conversion means and varying the capacities of the respective storage capacitors. CONSTITUTION:The storage capacitors 9 to retain the output from the photoelectric conversion means 5 are provided and the capacities of the respective storage capacitors are varied. The nonuniformity and asymmetricity of the light quantity distribution by the optical system are thus corrected by the capacitors 9... and therefore, the need for correcting the same by newly providing an external circuit, for example, control unit such as CPU is eliminated. A focus detector which is made smaller in size and weight than the conventional focus detector is thereby provided. The lower cost of the focus detector is realized as well. |
