A compressed-gas container (3) is replaceably arranged underneath the barrel (1) of a sports pistol. The compressed-gas container (3) contains fluid carbon dioxide which is extracted from the compressed-gas container (3) in gaseous form and is used for propelling the projectile. The compressed-gas container (3) is closed by a valve (4) which is opened by screwing the compressed-gas container (3) onto a retaining journal (7) on the weapon side. Before the valve (4) is opened, a sealing ring (9), which is arranged in a retaining hole (5) in the compressed-gas container (3), comes to rest on the retaining journal (7) on the weapon side and, when the valve (4) is opened, seals the compressed-gas container (3) from the exterior. The arrangement of the sealing ring (9) in the retaining hole (5) in the compressed-gas container (3) results in a particularly good seal and long life of the sealing ring (9). <IMAGE> |
