The invention relates to a process for coating and impregnating machinery components, preferably electrical machines, with an insulating lacquer.
<??>The essential feature of the invention is that a machinery component, provided with an insulation system, is immersed at room temperature, preferably in a temperature range of 15-40 DEG C, under atmospheric pressure or under vacuum or under superatmospheric pressure, in a water-soluble lacquer having a pH value of 7-11, preferably 7-8, and an effusion of 20-150, preferably 35-55 (at 20 DEG C and mP 4) until bubble formation is no longer perceptible on the lacquer surface, after which the machinery component is lifted out of the lacquer, the lacquer is allowed to drain off, and the article is dried under atmospheric pressure or vacuum at a temperature of 15-80 DEG C, preferably 25-40 DEG C, following which the lacquer is baked at the temperature prescribed for the particular lacquer.
