The object of the invention is further to develop balconies, which can be subsequently attached, such that, in multi-storeyed buildings, the uppermost storey, near to the roof, may also be provided with a balcony, and that balconies of enlarged extension and greater width may also be used. In order to achieve this object, the invention proposes to provide a pair of principal load-bearing members (2) which run virtually over the entire height of the building and on which there are fastened, by fastening means (5), in each case one balcony load-bearing member with a vertical legs (4) and a horizontal leg (3) connected thereto, the horizontal legs (3) serving as bearing means for the balcony floor (6) and it being possible to connect the principal load-bearing members (2), at least in the vicinity of their upper ends, to the building wall (1) by fastening means (10) which can be led through said building wall (1). <IMAGE>
