In the case of a valley in a roof which is covered by metal roofing tiles and comprises a metal sheet which is shaped in the manner of a cassette and has a heat-insulating layer arranged on the underside of the roofing tiles, the roofing tiles (1) adjoining the valley are chamfered, virtually at the angle of the roof pitch, on their side directed towards the valley (see 3). On the roof substructure there is placed an angularly shaped metal sheet (4) which has, on both legs (5, 6), a bead (9, 10) which runs in the direction of the valley and is in the form of a virtually right-angled triangle, said legs (5, 6) being at least partially covered over by the roofing tiles (1) adjoining the valley. A triangular supporting profile (12, 13) fastened on the substructure is provided, if appropriate, in the region of the beads (9, 10). <IMAGE>
