1-(alkylphenoxyaryl)-3-benzoyl urea (I) X,X'=hydrogen, halogen, C1-4 alkyl, alkoxy; Y=oxygen, sulfur; m,n=0-4, integer; R1=hydrogen, halogen, C1-4 alkyl; R2=hydrogen, halogen, C1-4 alkyl, C1-8 alkylsulfonyl, C1-8 alkylthio; R3=C1-12 alkyl is prepd. for use as an insecticide. Alkyl phenoxyaniline (II) is reacted with benzoylisoayanate (III) to give the compd. (I). This reaction is performed at room temp. in toluene.
