The gas stream which contains the particles panes through the brushes of one or more brush units. The particles stick to the bristles and are so removed from the stream. There is also a brush cleaning arrangement which rotates at a faster speed than that of the brushes. Particles are thereby transferred from the bristles to arrangement and fall into a collection hopper. Cleared gas e.g. air leaves the arrangement, to e.g. a fan and heat exchanger. Pref.there are sprays to increase the collecting efficiency of the brushes. |
