PURPOSE:To provide a bondable compsn. which has excellent adhesion between rubber and metal and exhibiting excellent adhesion even after heat deterioration, by blending a principal adhesive ingredient mainly composed of a chlorinated polymer with napthenic and/or arom. process oil in a specified weight ratio. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. principal adhesive ingredient (A) mainly composed of a chlorinated polymer such as chlorinated rubber, chlorinated polypropylene, chlorinated vinyl chloride elastomer, etc. is mixed with 10-100pts.wt. naphthenic process oil and/or arom. process oil (B) to obtain the desired bondable compsn. In bonding rubber to metal with the bondable compsn., the adherened surface of the metal is coated with a primer and the with the compsn. as a cover coat and the rubber is abutted against its coating film to bond the rubber firmly to the metal.
