PURPOSE:To prevent troubles caused in removing cut chips so as to permit the full automatization of a machining line by breaking cut chips in small pieces through jetting ultra high pressure cutting oil to portions to be cut, in the case of disposing process of chips cut by a lathe, a drill, etc. CONSTITUTION:In the case of, for instance, a lathe, a nozzle 13 is arranged opposite to the blade tip 12 of a cutter 11 and is connected in continuity to an ultra high pressure generating pump through a high pressure hose 14. Then, in cutting a workpiece 15, cut chips 16 are cut through jetting ultra high pressure cutting oil from the nozzle 13 to a chips producing portion 17 in the direction opposite to the cutting direction. This method is effective in automatizing a machining line. And it is possible to cope easily with changes of cutting conditions by only simple adjustment such as the control of jetting pressure for cutting oil etc. Furthermore, cutting oil used originally for cooling is used for cutting and no other liquid is used, therefore effective use of cutting oil can be accomplished. |
