PURPOSE:To permit to exchange a chip without releasing a screw so as to speed up work by attaching a collet capable of making elastic deformation through a screw to the tool body in the case of a throw away type cutting tool attached detachably to the tool body. CONSTITUTION:In detaching a throw away chip 11, a screw 17 is loosened so that the enlarged portion 17a of the screw head can be separated from the elastically deforming portion 15 of a collet 14. By this, expansion of the elastically deforming portion 15 is released and the throw away chip 11 can be extracted upward. Furthermore, for attaching a new chip 11, a screw 17 projected from a chip base 12 and the top portion of the collet 14 are fitted in an attaching hole 11a, the chip 11 is soated on the chip base 12, thereafter the screw 17 is clamped. This tool requires no attachment and detachment of a screw, therefore it is possible to speed up a chip exchanging work and to avoid occurrence of losing screw detached.
