PURPOSE:To automatically form a ring by inserting externally plural rings having a cut and divided part, to a magazine bar, pressing them by a pressure member, and also bringing the end parts into contact with each other so as not to be shifted, by a holding arm and welding it, at the time of welding the end part of the ring having a cut and divided part whose end part position has been shifted, and working it to a ring. CONSTITUTION:Many ring members W having a cut and divided part Wa whose upper and lower positions have been shifted are prepared, and inserted externally to a magazine bar 2 having a guide projection 2a which is suspended from a machine frame 1 and inserted into the cut and divided part Wa. Subsequently, plural ring members W are pressed by a descent of a pressure member 6, also a gate member 7 of the lower part of the magazine bar 2 is closed, the cut and divided part Wa of the ring member W of the lowest layer is held and brought into contact by a clamp member 24 of a pair of holding arms 17, and both end parts of the cut and divided part Wa are welded. The welded ring is dropped downward by opening the gate member 7, and the cut and divided part Wa of the next ring member W is welded.
