PURPOSE:To effectively branch light energy by preliminarily providing a hole to the central part of the 2nd photoconductor in the stage of constituting an optical branching device by joining the 1st photoconductor and 2nd photoconductor which have a circular cylindrical shape to each other with the slopes as a boundary, disposing the slopes to face each other and attaching likewise the 3rd circular cylindrical photoconductor to these photoconductors perpendicularly thereto. CONSTITUTION:The slopes A, B inclined to 45 deg. are formed to the respective ends of the 1st photoconductor and 2nd photoconductor which have the circular cylindrical shape. Rugged surface parts P which make complementary engagement with said ends are formed to the ends. The slopes A, B of the photoconductors 1 and 2 are joined by using optical glue or optical gel while the rugged surface part P are fitted to each other. The circular hole 2a along the axis is preliminarily bored to the central part of the joint surface B of the photoconductor 2 in this stage. The slopes A, B are thereafter disposed to face each other and the 3rd photoconductor 3 intersecting orthogonally with these photoconductors 1, 2 is joined thereto. The area of the hole 2a in such constitution is determined at a desired area and part L1 of the incident light energy L0 on the photoconductor 1 is branched to the photoconductor 3. L0-L1 is emitted from the photoconductor 2.
