REVERSE CENTRIFUGAL CLEANING OF PAPER MAKING STOCK

A system and process for separating paper fibers from contaminants of similar lower specific gravities employ a centrifugal cleaner wherein the discharge port for lights (rejects) is located at the apex of the conical cleaner body, the discharge port for heavies (accepts) is located upstream from the apex, and means are provided for stabilizing any air core which forms within the cleaner body and causing such air to be discharged from the body with the lights fraction of the slurry.
