PURPOSE:To make temp. difference in the sampling stage small when crude square billets having different charging temp. to a continuous heating furnace is heated together by setting the distance of charged billets in relation to each charging temp. CONSTITUTION:Since there is no large difference between the height and the breadth in crude square billets A, the billet is heated from four sides, i.e. from above and below, right and left, but the heating effect influences on adjacent billets due to generation of shadow zone B for the heat transmission. If the distance between two billets is zero, the heating is performed from two sides, and effect of four sides heating appears by extending the distance. When the distance attains a fixed value L, distinct difference of the effect appears no more. Data on relations between the charge distance and the heating temp. for billets charged at higher temp. A1 and charged at lower temp. A2, and graphs basing on the data are prepared preliminarily, as exemplified by the figures. For instance, if a distance L2 for billets A2 is made wider than the distance L1 for the billets A1 by examining the graph, sampling can be performed by making the necessary heating temp. almost equal. |
