PURPOSE:To attain simple and rapid write and sending operation without loosing a continuity at a joint part between pictures by performing a write on a frame memory indicated area synchronizing with the winding of a prescribed volume in the moving device of a scroll raw material. CONSTITUTION:The scroll raw material, after it is converted 11 to a video signal through a moving device 10, is made into PCM at an A/D converter 1. When a trigger to start the write is given, a scroll write control circuit 12 and a write address generating circuit 2 write the oblique line part of an input video in figure (a) at the oblique line part in figure (b) on a frame memory 3. Next, the circuit 12 controls the device 10 to move the raw material to the leftward direction by volume of oblique line part in figure (a), and the circuits 2 and 12 write the oblique line part in figure (c) at a part in figure (d) on the memory 3. The operation is repeated, and when the memory is filled, the write on a main storage device 6 is performed. By reproducing the scroll raw material written in such a way reading them on the memories 3-5 in order, a scroll video signal in which no joint part between the pictures is recognized can be obtained at the output of a D/A converter 9.
