PURPOSE:To form a well-defined character of image on the surface of a metal, by applying a print on the surface of a metal having an anodic oxidation coating formed thereon through the ink jet method. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined image or character is formed on the surface of a metal having an anodic oxidation coating with a dye-contg. ink by the ink jet method. Examples of the metal include aluminum, copper, iron, and stainless steel. Aluminum is preferable. The method is applicable to the formation of an image on the surface of cars, electric good, buildings, and other metal articles. |
