PURPOSE:A seasoning mixture, especially for Japanese style cooking, which is obtained by setting the ratio of the surface area to the weight of the seasoning solution to a specific value and solidifying, thus showing improved storability such as hygroscopicity and being readily weighable and immediately soluble. CONSTITUTION:The objective solid seasoning material has more than 5cm<2> surface area per 1g. For example, flavoring materials such as dried bonito, sea tangle, dried SHIITAKE mushroom, their powders or essence concentrates, chemical flavors, salt, sugar, protein hydrolyzate and extenders are mixed, and preferably the mixture is divided into one-helping a mounts and made into solid rods, plates, pellets, cylinders or other appropriate shapes. |
