PURPOSE:To change the frequency minutely stepwise from a reference frequency with a simple constitution by adding a variable frequency divider and a mixer. CONSTITUTION:The output of a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) 1 of a PLL is mixed with the output, which passes a frequency divider 2 whose frequency division ratio 1/N is changed, by a mixer 7, and the output frequency of the mixer 7 is N1/(N1+1) of the reference frequency. Consequently, the frequency is changed minutely stepwise from the reference frequency with the simple constitution if the frequency division number N1 is changed to 2, 3.... |
