PURPOSE:To prevent the surface of a disc from being scratched, by displacing a pressing roller to the side at which a rolled paper sheet is unused, before completion of cleaning so that a finishing wipe-off process is made with the use of the unused rolled paper during two or three revolutions before completion of cleaning. CONSTITUTION:After completion of machining, a cleaning device frame 1 is lowered down to a wipe-off position while a disc 4 is gripped by a vacuum chuck 3. The spindle 2 of a lathe is rotated about at a speed of 50rpm to wipe off chips and dust adhered to the surface of the disc 4. Before completion of the wipe-off operation a pressing roller 8 is depressed in the direction A of unused side of a rolled paper sheet 12 by means of a cylinder 5, and therefore, the unused paper sheet makes into contact with the wiped-off surface. In this condition the spindle 2 is rotated in a few revolutions to carry out finishing wipe-off, and therefore, fine chips and dust adhered to the surface of the disc 4 are completely removed. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the surface of the disc 4 from being scratched. |
