NEW MATERIAL:The pyrrolidine derivative of formula I [n is 1-5; R is 1-8C alkylamino, group of formula II (m is 1, 2 or 3; A and B are H or lower alkoxy) or III (Q is O, S, methylene or N substituted with lower alkyl or aralkyl)]. EXAMPLE:N-(gamma-phenyl)butanoyl-L-prolylisopropylamide. USE:A prolyl-endopeptidase inhibitor. Especially an agent for amnesia. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting the acid halide of formula IV (X is Br or Cl) with proline and reacting the resultant acylproline derivative of formula V with an amine derivative of formula R-H in the presence of a condensation agent.
