PURPOSE:To improve the burst strength by disposing a string-like base material in a disc clutch facing in such a manner as to circulate around the inner peripheral edge portion thereof and the peripheral wall portion of a rivet hole. CONSTITUTION:String-like base materials 2 formed by a glass fiber are disposed in such a manner as to circulate around the inner peripheral edge portion 13 of a disc clutch facing 1 and the peripheral wall portion 12 of a rivet hole 11 and are stacked continuously from the surface to the back in a mold. Mixture of base material and binder is poured therein, and subjected to hot-forming at 170 deg.C under pressure of 110kg/cm<2> for three minutes. In case of the thus formed clutch facing 1, at a portion where string-like base materials 2 are disposed, fibers are disposed in the peripheral direction, so that the shearing stress can be improved, and the burst strength can be improved.
