PURPOSE:To obtain a hybrid type optical multiplexer and demultiplexer having stable characteristics to a temp. change with good assembling workability by fixing interference films directly to the wall surfaces of a substrate preliminarily having a required angle. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element 4 emits light having a wavelength lambda1 and a lens 5 converts the emitted light to parallel beams. A light receiving element 6 receives the light having a wavelength lambda2 and converts the light electrically. A lens 7 focuses parallel beam light and fixes the respective rays of the light to the substrate after optical adjustment. The interference films 8, 10 are directly fixed to the substrate 12. A light emitting element fixing part 12-3 for fixing the light emitting element 4 is disposed to the wall surface 12-1 of the substrate 12 and a collimator fixing part 12-4 for fixing the collimator is disposed to the wall surface 12-2. On the other hand, the fixing part 12-5 of the light receiving element 6 can be set in an optional position. The walls 12-1 and 12-2 to be fixed with the interference film 8 are provided at such an angle at which the light of the wavelength lambda2 inputted through the collimator 3 from the outside is reflected by the interference film 8 and is inputted to the light receiving element 6. |
