PURPOSE:To make thickness in a separator layer thinner as well as to improve its mechanical strength, by forming a water soluble nylon film and a polyvinyl alcohol film both on an inner surface of a negative electrode zinc can and setting these films down to the separator layer, while filling up a positive electrode flux in this layer. CONSTITUTION:A double film, consisting of a water soluble nylon film 2a and a polyvinyl alcohol film 2b to be layered on the top, are formed on an inner surface of a bottomed, cylindrical negative electrode zinc can 1, setting it down to a separator layer 2. Next, inside this layer 2, a positive electrode flux 3 is filled up, combining it with a carbon rod 5, a sealing gasket 6, etc., and thus a manganese cell or the like is formed up. And, owing to both properties of the water soluble nylon film 2a excellent in hygroscopicity and rich in liquid keepability, and of the polyvinyl alcohol film 2b large in mechanical strength, capacity in the separator layer 2 is improved. Therefore, securing the separator 2 that is very thin in size and making charging capacity in the positive electrode flux 3 ever so large, thus improvement in the cell capacity is well promotable. |
